Class Dates: Nov 3-Dec 15 (off Nov 24) Stroke School is offered to children who have mastered SwimAmerica Stations 1-6 and can side breathe on both sides (freestyle) and swim backstroke. The goal of Stroke School (Levels 7-10) is to perfect freestyle, backstroke, butterfly and breastroke plus turns - all to be ready for swim team or recreational swimming. Average student to coach ratio is 8 to 1. Unique to SwimAmerica® is that we assess progress and move children to a different level if a current station is not meeting their needs. SWIM LESSON GUIDELINES: Parents need to check their children in/out every lesson. Parents bringing children of the opposite sex AND above the age of 36 months, will be given access to the Family Changing Rooms. Parents and their children of the same sex OR under the age of 36 months can use the regular locker rooms. Parents and children using the regular locker rooms are asked to use the back end of the locker rooms. Children are not to wander the locker rooms unattended. Children cannot use the whirlpool, steam rooms, or sauna as per DuPage County Health Code. Last day of the session is deck observation day, otherwise parents are asked to observe through the lobby glass. Pictures and/or videos are permissible only on the last class of the session. To protect the privacy of our members, video and pictures can only be taken of your child. NO REFUNDS OR CREDITS FOR DROPPED OR MISSED CLASSES. Once a session has commenced you are in the class for the entire term, regardless of attendance, except for medical reasons which prohibit class participation. A medical related credit must be requested within the session, validated by a written note from a licensed medical practitioner, and is limited to the number of classes missed. Participants may be able to join the session after on-time registration ends, space permitting, for a prorated fee. Classes/programs are subject to minimums/maximums, instructor/location changes, price changes and /or cancellation at supervisor's discretion. REGISTRATION is taken on-line or in person at Good Samaritan Health and Wellness Center Front Desk. Program Coordinator: Jenny Showalter jenny.showalter@advocatehealth.com or (630) 275-2283
